1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Trips, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Trips is a travel itinerary visualization tool that:

• Receives travel confirmation emails forwarded by you
• Uses AI to extract event information from emails
• Creates interactive maps and timelines of your trips
• Allows you to manually add and edit events
• Provides sharing capabilities for your itineraries

3. User Accounts

Account Creation:

• An account is required to use Trips
• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• All trips and data are associated with your account

Account Security:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must not share your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Subscription and Usage Limits

Free Trial:

• New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features
• During the trial: unlimited trips, unlimited email processing, and all app features
• No payment information required to start the trial
• After the trial ends, any existing data will become read-only and a paid subscription is required to continue using the service

Paid Subscription:

• Unlimited trips and manual events
• Unlimited email processing with AI extraction
• All map, timeline, and other views
• Trip sharing functionality
• Access to all current and future features

After Trial Expiration:

• If you do not subscribe after the trial ends, your existing trips and data will become read-only
• Your data will be preserved and accessible once you subscribe
• You can subscribe at any time to regain access

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Send spam or malicious content through our system
• Abuse or overload our infrastructure
• Scrape or harvest data from other users
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Content Ownership

• You retain all rights to your trip data and content
• You grant us permission to process your data to provide our service
• You can export or delete your data at any time
• We do not claim ownership of your travel information

7. AI Processing

Our AI-powered email parsing:

• May not be 100% accurate in extracting travel details
• You are responsible for verifying all extracted information
• You can manually edit or delete any AI-generated events
• We are not liable for errors in AI parsing

8. Service Availability

We strive for 99%+ uptime, but:

• The service is provided "as is" without guarantees
• We may perform maintenance with minimal notice
• We are not liable for service interruptions
• We may modify or discontinue features at any time

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for missed flights, hotels, or other travel issues
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• You use the service at your own risk

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior
• Required by law

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of The State of Michigan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of The State of Michigan.
